In my last post, I briefly mentioned something we like to call True Google Results. This is probably something that you have never heard of and there is a very good reason for that. True Google Results is something we created at FreshDrop that further increases the accuracy of our GRN and especially our GR analytic.
Most of you probably have noticed that the results displayed on the top of Google are not actually the amount of results that Google has for that given term. This is especially apparent when checking Google results with the domain’s extension. For example, take a website you are familiar with, perhaps a blog you frequent. Search for their name and extension in quotes. Look at the number of results displayed. Now scroll down and go to the last page of results available. You will notice that the results run out significantly sooner than you expected and the True Google number is actually much lower than originally shown.
FreshDrop has created a unique tool that you can only find at FreshDrop, which checks the True Google Results and displays those back for you. No longer will you think there are 3,500 Google results only to find 15 actual results. This gives you a much more accurate Google reading and gives FreshDrop users one more edge over everyone else. Remember that slightly different regions will still display slightly different results for Google as determined by Google.

Why are the Google Results displayed different then what I see when I check Google?
That is actually a very good question and it has a two part answer. The first reason that the number of results you see is different is because Google localizes results. What this means exactly is that they show a different amount of results depending on the location you are in. So, results will differ slightly based on this. They should still be relatively close to the results displayed in the number, since Google shows similar results for most regions.
The second reason the Google results will differ slightly is because of something very special called True Google Results. What is True GR? That is also a very good question and something I will touch on in the next blog post. I can say it is unique to FreshDrop and we are the only place you can find it.
Please check back in for more updates.
I will be attending the Domain Roundtable in Washington DC. I look forward to seeing everyone there.
